Summary
Take idhyam (old murali and heera movie), where hero doesnt comfess his love for the heroine till the end, add sethu (insanity angle) and then some imaginatoin for the cure and viola uve got oru kaluriyin kadhai). this is the entire story, but shot in alaipayuthae style, nothing new. Aracha Mavu

1) as expected inda padathula arya punch dialogue sollittan! annal only in the begening, introductoin ellam oru periya star levelukku irukku, annal rods ellam bend panarathu konjam over dhaan!
2)director differenta edavathu pannanomnu romba think pannar, mandai kanji poi, oru kevalamana ideava use pannirukkar, 'recreation treatment' since arya goes insane during college, he shud be back in that enviromne tot recover his memory and all, and also express his love for sonia agarwal
3) Oru Nal Oru kanavu illa vara kajuraho song too many retakes pola irukku, anda ice cream ellam is visible in sonia agarwals size! (or since she is an associate director she doesnt have to be bothered about weight i presume)
4)for the opening song Yuvan has copied his own april mathatil song, idu sa rajkumar pannara velai, why yuvan?
5) in the begennin of the movie arya thanni adipan, anda bodhai erangalai pola irukku, padam pura thanni pota madri act pannirukkan
6) around 15 yrs ago in idhyam la charlie is a student, inda padathla he is a professor
7)Pyramid Natrajans character has an uncanny resemblence to Jeppiar of satyabama, rendu perum sarayam katchi dhan college kattinangal
8)adam pura ellorum friends kaga theyll give their life sollikittairukkangal, pesama sethu pogathum appo janathogai koraium, friendship nu sollittu, ada ippadi insult pannittengal.
9)padam begening la mega serial madri sentiment overload, ennoda system almost break down aachu!
10) replacements for Sonia Agarwal to make me watch the movie more than once (heroine doesnt need to act, too much to expect in tamil cinema, only shud look good, sonai agarwal looks bad wit her stupid grin, Kadhal kondean ill act panna madria inda padathula act pannirukka)

nice,fun,nakkal review.but u have not mentioned the hilarious camera movement when anni sonia says the hero's name..it literally carries some sms to him.pavum engal anbu anni sonia selvaraghavanai(note the sir name i have used..lol) romba kindal panerke..but yes it is hilarious thinking of her as an associate director esp in a movie where kamal is the hero..but it is just a honarary title..maybe she will design costumes in annan selva's next film.god only knows..lol
btw i think oru kaluriyin deserves a blue rating,rather than orange.

Very true. The college song very much resembles the "Bit adipom dum adipom thanniya thaan kalandhadipom" song. Is out man losing all his creativity ? It was Illayaraja's "Adiyey manam niilluna" in Daas and now this one in OKK. However, I do like the stage song sung by harish ragavendra !

LOL'ed at ur comparison with Jeppiyar. "Satyavukkaga idhai pannanum" nu moochukku munnooru solra pasanga "padam paakkuravangalukku" ippadi sodhanai panna koodathu. Nice review, in ur own nakkal way.
